PLASTERERS & CEMENT MASONS
Operative Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ International Association
Plasterers do all types of plastering. They finish interior walls and ceilings of buildings, apply plaster on masonry, metal, wire lath, or gypsum. They also do restoration work, acoustical tile application, artificial marble work, and sculpturing. Shop hands build illusions and props for the Motion Picture Industry.
Cement masons are responsible for concrete construction, including pouring and finishing of slabs, steps, curbs and sidewalks, paving, and other concrete construction. They do granite operation, laser screed operation, sandblasting, and bush hammering.
