Building California Construction Careers (BC3) is a program designed to

educate the public about construction career opportunities and apprenticeship.

We reach out to students, teachers, counselors, parents, adults, and the

workforce development community throughout California to demystify the

skilled trades and help them understand the possibilities available in our

industry.  BC3 is currently funded by a grant through the California

Employment Development Department

BC3’s Outreach Team makes high-impact presentations at high

school classes, assemblies and career fairs.  Topics include job opportunities

in construction, the skills necessary for success and how apprenticeship

programs work.

We also train One Stop staff and their partner Community Based

Organizations on how to help their clients explore careers in the trades.

Presentations are accompanied by a new video, Construction U, which

goes onsite to apprenticeship programs and invites prospective students

to hear from the apprentices.
